Prone Savasana
I truly love this pose and teach it not only to my yoga clients but also to my patients. It is a great calming practice on its own but is also great for targeting the lung tissue in our back body. It is easy to forget that the majority of our lungs encompass the back! Prone breathing is a wonderful skill to have in the age where we are worried about how to care for ourselves if we contract Covid-19 or other respiratory diseases. As always, please let your doctor know if you are feeling unwell to see if you need medical care for your condition. But, remember you don’t have to be sick to benefit from this truly restorative pose.
